Yes, agree with all that do not like the soap opera, ie., everybody is getting or has got naked with everyone else in a very small town, shades of the canceled defying gravity space soap.But it is obvious that the writers, producers, etc., are attempting to shed the G rated, pre-teen acceptable, interpersonal relationships that were standard for the other two series. ok, been there, done that, now what,,,,,,????Personally I am just tolerating their attempts, "going where no stargate has gone before", lol.But the power struggle story line is developing nicely and is moving along.My hope is that once they have bulled around in the china shop of soap in sci-fi, they will begin to bring out the planet of the week or bad guys of space, or something that will bring together the hard sci-fi with the soft sci-fi aspects of this show.Hopefully this will not go the course of BG and will have some adventure where the group wins a few clear victories or handles and solve some of the doom and gloom hanging over the series now.

Lets face it, no one is having fun (outside the few naked bodies) on this show, and hopefully this series will not turnout to be one of "how the crew gets screwed this week" (excuse the double entendre) type of show.come on, let start making progress, Just a little observation, no big deal, notice the use of a shadowy middle easterner and a female ladder climbing asian as the representatives of the group, I guess that is parallel to SID, that has their own hidden agenda, getting close old pro wrestling techniques of good-bad guys there writers, be careful and a put away the hammer.My suggestions, get the stories moving, have some fun winning a few, and tone down all the inner psycho drama in everyone's head, expand the "universe part of the show", a constantly sinking ship will just become a glorified Lifeboat remake.All for the show, just get you butts in gear "powers that be" and make this an adventure show already.That is what the stargate was, why it has survived so long on air and in the hearts of fans.Let the cast be characters,,,,,,,, not a bunch of back stabbing, whishpering secrets and plots, group of whining, not the right people for the job, running to the stargate and back to their quarters, herd of cows.

half to say it I hate, the new stargate series Im watching it and hoping it will eventually improve. But I doudt it! Im so.. unable to warm up to the cast, they are just so unlike Stargate Charaters. Dont get me wrong the relationship aspect is ok, but it so Soap Oprah! I feel like its stargate with a dash of Melrose place (not liking it)!!! Its just not stargate series material! MGM, Is CRAZY to replace Atlantis with this crap. I do not see myself investing time with that series. I have been a loyal Stargate from Day 1, but this sucks! If MGM was smart they would reinstate this series quickly and scrap Stargate Universe or Start a series with Danielle (I thought that was the plan with Universe) this unknown cast is worthless!!!
