Robotech: Macross Saga: Countdown

I think I read somewhere that some of the original audio was lost, so when this was to be released for DVD, they had to use new sounds. I wouldn't know since this is my first go watching Robotech... but that does suck when things like that happen. :-\ See 1 other reply

I dunno if it's just this Hulu version or not, but could somebody tell me if the iconic sounds of the original weapons fire sounds was as jacked-up in US TV as it is now?
I mean, virtually every sound has been changed into this generic "pi-chuw" laser-blaster crap mod. You can still make-out some hints of it when the Regault Battle Pods fire, but the missile "kawoosh" are all wrong, and who knows what happened to the "bahruumph-and-ricochet" audio signature of a GAU-15 letting one rip. The voice acting was cheesy enough, even for the time, but man did they not know what they were messing with in "tweaking" the other sounds?

Oh my God. Starblazers was the best anime ever ever ever. Hulu. please give me Starblazers. I can't even find the dvds anywhere, assuming they even put it on dvd. Need my fix. I've been missing it since I was a kid in the early 80s. See 3 other replies

I think it's funny that the SDF 1 Landed in 1999 and we spent 10 years studying & rebuilding it. Obviously ep 1 takes place '09. And we still don't have Veritech fighter. Man, what a jip.
