Hulu - The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien: Conan Hits His Head

This just goes to show you how Conan does not have a huge ego and was willing to embarrass himself (as he often does) on national TV to tell us honestly what happened. Wow, that looked SO painful. And even though he and Andy were cracking jokes and I did laugh a little, a head injury IS serious! Thank Goodness his staff had the sense to realize that & get him medical help rather than encouraging him to go on with the show. You know he would have continued, being the trooper that he is!
If you know someone who bangs their head hard like that and then seems OK, but a bit dazed or wobbly, GET THEM MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. Even if they insist they are fine. Better safe than sorry. My friend went to a funeral in August for a woman who banged her head on concrete after falling from a ladder. She had a siezure later that night and died suddenly. She had a husband and a daughter...Very Sad! Don't want to be a Downer, but just wanted to share. If you think someone might have a concussion, take them to a doctor ASAP.
So GLAD Conan's doing fine now! Oh and the friendship between Andy and Conan seems so sweet and genuine! :)

I have epilepsy and even I'm not on the same page. Maybe diabetic seizures are different, but with the seizures I have, they last from a minute to several, and I may have about 10 - 15 minutes of confusion and needing to come out of my daze, but after that I'm fine and ready to go. I get what the guy was saying, but Conan is a talk show host. keyword talkshow. He could hardly talk nor comprehend what was going on after the fall. If he can't do his job, then that is problem and of course they have to stop the show. Most seizures on the other hand, are treatable, and you are able to go about your life normally afterwards, especially if it wasn't that serious. Conan could've had serious problems, he had to go to the hospital. I've seen people go through seizures before, and they are normally okay after a few minutes of it subsiding. If it is such a big problem, I'd say it's more a problem with your work, as most works have some sort of paid medical leave for a big problem. See 9 other replies

First off, my mom's diabetic and when her sugar's low and she has a reaction, we put enough sugar in her to get her to test herself and have her get herself better, so I know exactly how difficult that is. Now, I have no fricken clue what you're talking about when you say something about college money through the army because of how our DNA is written, but I think that the point is that Soloman thinks that having a concussion is NOTHING, try having a diabetic seizure and then go back to work the next day. I don't QUITE know where he was going with this but you can't compare having a concussion(which probably could seriously either kill you if undiagnosed) to having a diabetic seizure(even though that could kill you too if it's undetected but it's treatable without having to go to the hospital) it's not like with a concussion, you can just treat it within a half hour and go to work, it seems like it's a pretty big thing to deal with. I, thank god, never had one, but I'm sure that it isn't fun.

What are tags?

What tags shouldn't I use?

Your tags are public by default and everyone can see them. You should not use:

Profane or obscene language
Tags that are inciting or spiteful
Tags that might harass, abuse or threaten members of the community
Tags that may reveal your personal information or any personal information about children under age 13
Tags that promote illegal or immoral conduct
Tags containing special characters or more than 50 characters

Can everyone see my tags?

To help other Hulu users find interesting videos, your tags are public by default and everyone can see them. And as you navigate using tags, you will find interesting videos as collectively organized by Hulu users.
