you are definitely gonna love the character development for him then

apparently after the current arc in order to let manga go on further and not catch up right away they'll do filler arcs with each character's trip (gaiden arcs)
now THAT would be the best way to handle a filler/catchup time

If anyone needs an upgrade it is Usopp. While the kabuto is cool, he is still the weakest character on the team. The coward trying to be a brave warrior of the sea is a fine story but unlike virtually every other character he really isn't making much progress. Maybe they can give him some haki or something so his shots punch into stone like the amazons arrows could. I'm all for comic relief and running gags, but I'd like to see some character development for him. See 10 other replies

Please refer to Chapter 523 and 524 for the truth. There is one and a half chapters detailing the adventures (or misadventures) of the rest of the Straw Hat crew. The "one shot" stories only expand on what happened in chapters 523 and 524. See 10 other replies

Chopper is sent to a Giant Bird Nest Island and Sanji to the Pink Maiden Island where everyone have a girly heart (but there is a twist :P).
