Yet another cliche' story that makes NYC look like it's full of immure greedy Italians. Out of 95% of all the TV shows and Movies I've watched about New York makes me NEVER to want to stop there. In fact when ever I've had to ride south out of New England we NEVER stop in NYC we just stay on the highway and get out of there. I'm not sure if these shows are stereotypes but at the same time I don't want some Italian mafia guy to rape me up the butt or have a family member molested by a priest. etc etc etc Or run into snobby rich people that have millions and billions of dollars but also have IQ's under 70. Another clue is that my mom was born and raised in NYC but moved to New England before I was born. She filled my head full of stories about how horrible New Yorkers are and how they think they are so smart when all they know about is pizza, shoes, and hairstyles. My mom tested very high on an IQ tests so I always trusted her opinion. I test higher than Average so I'm not a genius but I'm smarter than the average bear. Now that said, if New York is full of greedy selfish cutthroats living in a used up ugly looking toilet bowl (like a lot of shows and movies portray... even a Simpsons episode) how come Hollywood and/or TV doesn't try to clean up it's image? Why do they crank out so many movies and tv shows in which New Yorkers are scary short tempered and back stabbing? These shows even if some aren't violent are only perpetuating the stereotype that most other Americans have of this sex depraved city.
