He's a funny comedian, but I think he works too blue to be effective on ABC.
Overall, the acting in the show is really bad. Simple rules, like "Never turn your back to the camera when your talking" and "keep your hands out of your pockets" are broken out of sheer inexperience.
And unfortunately, they gave him no support. There's not one solid actor in the whole show.
If they bulked up the supporting cast with people who have a couple credits, and moved the show to Comedy Central where they can get away with a little more "adult" humor, the show would probably be a lot better. As it is, its falling somewhere awkwardly between Rodney Carrington's "Sing, You Bas----" stand-up persona, and something that can fly on ABC.
