John it was the quality of the movie not the actual movie....
I agree. It looks better on Netflix, though you'll have to settle for Full screen there where this is widescreen ( I checked both this is widescreen and not just stretched)

I remember watching this movie when I was little. I would sit in my dad's lap and we would be eating popcorn. The Duke, love John Wayne. He reminds me of my dad. I grew up watching John Wayne movies. This is one of my favorite movies. The humor is so...real. Not like the humor of today. Definitely worth the watch! :)

You would not know good video if it shat on you.

You say indoor plumbing and cold January nights what a good woman for on them cold nights plus back then when man/person gave their word it meant something, now a days person gives their word they turn around and go against it. Talk about wealth what has changed back then compared to now? Nothing. But over all good John "Duke" Wayne movie one of his better movies.

I have 5 words for any person who thinks life was better in "good ole days": Indoor plumbing + cold January nights.

And, by the way, for every person that got wealthy back then there were hundreds (or thousands) who were unfairly exploited in making others wealthy.

I dont like westerns or old/classic movies in general, but i LOVE this movie.

They pieced this together. The original was lost. What you are seeing is a mix of the 'best' they could find. It's a shame the major film companies didn't bother to archive more carefully but like today, they were in it for the buck.
