Except for the part where they are in no way like one another? How do you even entertain the idea that they are the same thing? Do you know what they both are? It's like saying a car and a telephone are the same, in essence.

Really, If you're going to make completely outrageous statements like that, you're going to have to elaborate a bit for people to take them seriously. Which is not a promise to take your explanation seriously, by the way. It depends on whether it makes you seem less crazy, or more.

Okay, I had a feeling that this would spark a very long battle and debate between science and religion, which I hope ends soon. I really don't want this comment to be the reason for name calling and heated arguments. My comment was in no way intended to insult science, I in fact love science. I am very happy that the other scientist was able to prove that a person could be nailed through the hands. My comment was more directed to doubting Christians questioning the accuracy of the bible, over the fact that one scientist says "a man nailed through the hands is impossible". Which brings me to another point. The bible says that Christ was nailed through the hands. So, as much as science tries to disapprove the existence of Christ. I can not wait till the day when humanity (on the whole) becomes enlightened enough to finally move past religion, so that people that still believe in these sorts of things are ridiculed just like we would ridicule someone now who thought the earth was flat or that faeries are running around their gardens.
If some person was having random wounds appear across their body that they “had no explanation for,” we would not hesitate to determine they are mentally ill and inflicting wounds on themselves. But when they appear in the formation of the supposed “crucifixion” wounds and said person slaps a “Jesus” label on it, that makes it real?
Being spiritual is one thing, and there’s nothing wrong with looking for answers to questions that are simply unanswerable, or even having a basic faith that there is a single omnipresent creator.
But building your whole life around something you cannot know, and even worse going so far as to make up fantasies that you claim are actual fact (which is every single religion out there)… this is ridiculous.

A religion is just a cult that enough people believe in. People think cultists are crazy; but when you have enough crazies that group together, the numbers grow larger and larger, *bam* all of a sudden you have a religion. That doesn’t mean it still isn’t crazy.

Miracles happen all of the time. In Adis Ababi a village was attacked, many killed, and wounded, and a little girl was stolen. The men who kidnapped her were attacked by lions, and when the men were gone the lions surrounded the little girl and waited. the next day the villagers were looking for the girl, and the mother of the girl was with them. She cried out her daughters name, and when the girl answered her mother the lions got up and walked away. This happened just a few years ago. There are many other miracles thet happen every day. You can not know all that goes on in the wold. You can not even know half of what goes on in the world. If you think you do then ...
My mother was dying. There was no hope. I asked people for prayers to heal her. She was healed. Even the doctors were surprised.
I have met a woman who had a near deth experience. She was struck by lightening, and died. She was eventually revived in the hospital. While she was gone she had an experience of meeting God. He told her to go and, heal his people.
Now she is a healer in San Diego, and her name is Tiffany Snow. She now has the stigmata. I felt nothing but love, and concern from her.
There is a doctor in Japan who has done amazing research on energy and how it affects our enviroment. He is amazing. Or what about OOPARTS? How can you explain them?
How can you dismiss this without having studied these things? Have you done any research on your own? How about the thousands of experiences of children who have had near death experiences? Or pre death visions documented by nurses, doctors, and, the person, and their family? I love the beautiful mysteries of our world.
