NASA estimates that there are 400billion galaxies in this universe... a guestimate. according to a old hindu scripture they call the universe as 'anath' meaning endless...which by the way is true. talking about we humans being the only life forms in this endless universe is far fetched. i believe there are other life forms as we are, under or over evolved... just watching the fun of our evolution and mistakes as a TV soap perhaps.... we are definitely not alone in this universe.   See 3 other replies

...cont.These beings, while frightened and suspicious, were not unwilling to hear and learn everything they could. They were told that this possibility of splitting the atom to unleash its force had been understood from long ago, but that its use in all its forms, was against life, and that what was left behind after its use was a long legacy of death. They were offered other, non-destructive technologies which could yield unlimited amounts of usable energy, if they would only agree to not continue their plans with this deadly atomic force. But the beings became suspicious, and believed that they were being tricked, they vowed that they would continue to develop this power, and use it on anyone who threatened them.
Sadly, realizing that this rebellious and violent race, known throughout the universe for its unmatched cruelty and barbarity, now had within their means the ability to send weapons of colossal destruction to other parts of the solar system, we were left with no choice but to continually monitor their activities, and to give them this warning: If you reach outside of your own planet with this destructive force, we stand vigilant and ready to intervene.
