I just saw the best Rifleman episode ever on RTV. It was one I don't remember, when Mark is ornery over feeling he never had a mother and wants a little companionship from the fairer sex. He and Lucas aren't getting along and Mark is growing up. He develops typhoid fever after drinking bad water and the episode shows Mark on the verge of death, seeing his mother in his delirium and talking with her about Lucas. The dream squence is quite marvelous with his mother telling him to go back to his pa and the fever breaks with the help of an old eccentric doctor. I have to say I think Chuck Connors should have won something for this episode his acting as well as Johnny's was brilliant. Imagine a 1/2 show with that much emotion.
