I read the book.. it was SO intense.. oh wow.. I want to see this but at the same time I don't. It was such a sad story, it makes me terrified to every have kids.. this book.. this story.. really intensifies the whole thing about having a child and doing anything to protect them

I really hope the movie is as stark as the book, no names, little details, just the frantic journey down "the road." If they diverge from the book I will be disappointed. When I read this I got it from the library, they only had large print and it was still only 270 pages. Short, brilliant, nothing to add or subtract.

I read the book twice in a row just so I didnt miss the details of the story. What I loved about the book was that the Father had flash backs of the past so it was as if we were stepping in stride with his and his sons life but the previews make it look like the movie starts before the book actually does. It takes alot of the mystery out of a great story, instead of making you think and remember and having those "AHHA" moments, they give them to you. I also dint think that they needed to make this an R movie, they only need to get you to feel the suspense and hear the sounds, the rest is up to ones own mind. making it an R will limit its viewing I feel. I for one, would love to see it in the theaters, I guess I have to wait till the edited version. and then complain about all the things that they missed compared to the book. :)

I read the book about this in class and it was just amazing. If they follow the book it will be brilliant but if not I doubt it will be very good.

There has been so much garbage put into production recently, it's refreshing to finally see something that looks promising. I've never read the book, but I've heard nothing but spectacular reviews of it. I, for one, am definitely looking forward to seeing this movie.
