Most people believe that anime can't compare to live action in terms of depth and character development. If most people would watch this series (season one and two) they would realize they're gravely mistaken. Morals and ethics are brought into question, not to mention political corruption, along with personal vengeance and dilemmas all wrapped into one coherent package. At times you may even question good and evil, as both sides use every means necessary to fulfill their beliefs. This is not an anime stupid people will like or understand. It can't be watched just as a "cartoon" but should be looked at more as a work of art. the intricacy and attention to detail is there, all you need to do is look for it. Like the world itself it's full of darkness and corruption, but there is happiness and entertainment in the chaos. Sure it may not be for everyone, but it's definitely made for people like me (and anyone who likes ghost in the shell, because this fits into the same category).

At first I wasn't too into Season 2. Something was off but they changed something up in episode 7 and it really improved for me. But this last episode, what the heck?? Did Michael Bay edit it. I couldn't tell what was happening! So here I am waiting for this big fight scene with my girl Triela and it's completely botched. I don't know what they were thinking, it was just so poorly executed. And first of all, how did she even beat him? You couldn't see anything. If this is TV-MA why hide the action in blackness and cut away to shadows or to action off screen. I don't get it but overall I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed the first season ( i watched in dub) and the second season ( i watched in sub). The animation style was great aswell as the theme music throughout the whole series. I was also really shocked that the creators took the time to do research on the towns and cities they represented in this anime, the scenery was a perfect match to the places in question. And they used real brand name wines, guns / weapons, books, cars, renaissance art in museums in certain episodes; and took the time to have the charactors discuss the history behind the art. And i enjoyed the fact that they introduced the "Scarborough Fair" into one of the prevous episodes; it is a really great old Celtic
(or english, im not sure) song. Also, let me not forget to mention the sublime fight scenes. ..... Overall, i can tell the animators, voice actors and the rest of the crew really enjoyed making this anime; and i enjoyed watching all the detail and emotion and hard work they put into it. ... the characters were amazing; i felt for, and rooted for, both the good and the bad guys just like some of the other fans have expressed ..... I enjoyed this series overall, and i want to say thank you hulu for posting this series...... now i got to go watch the OVA, and then im done with this great anime........ but hopefully, they will make a third season and more in the future.

this series was amazing! i loved all the characters good or bad, i felt for all of them. i hope they make more of this, if not then plz put up more awsome series like this one!

An interesting concept, little girls who are killers. Its twisted in a sense but also makes sense. You'd never expect a 12 girl of being a threat.... There's a kind of happy tragedy about this show, tragic yet with a kind of up beat hope... I over all I really enjoyed watching it and hope they continue show..
