every time i watch this movie and get to the part where they sneak into the terrorist base i can't stop crackin up at their face camo. i don't know which is better the bruce campbell captain morgan, meatheads target or the dude with charlie chaplin.
Suzanne, perhaps you meant to say Curry, not Conway. Although I would agree that Tim Conway was also a great character actor, unfortunately he unlike Ernest Borgnine, didn't make an appearance in this revisiting. However, if you did mean to say Curry, I could not agree more, the man is a master of his craft. As far as Carpenter's transition from the masculine to the feminine, I believe it has just become expected these days whenever a woman is cast in a role of authority in a comedy. Can't say as I dig it, but it is so common that I do tend to expect it. In the case of this movie I think it helped the plot instead of hindering it at least. And let's at least be fair, they handled it well and at least she didn't end up a bubble headed babe in a bikini by the end of the movie. All in all, I think they did a decent job with this movie and I am glad that they did not try to recreate the old show with a new cast, but still based in the Pacific during WWII, but rather decided to revisit the idea and general theme. That might have proven as disastrous as most remakes that you run across these days. Have a great day. doc
Its a feel good movie. Its a good watch and the best part is its cleaner than most tv programs. I would watch it again. Plus hulu dosent have a lot of real great movies on it yet anyway.
