Arthur Conan Doyle is turning in his grave. His fantastic adventure is butchered in this so called adaptation. Read his wonderful and brutal story and skip this trite TV-safe family-friendly pice of fluff.

Although I loved the original "Lost World" , I must say the native girl translator is absolutely stunning !!!!!!

Why is it so hard to place this film in South America? That's where the book TOOK PLACE. Follow the book? WHOA. Revolutionary idea.

i have watched like every version of this story and i have never heard of this film... which is NOT from the 60s and does NOT have the talents of claude rains...who is the small british boy!?
and love the subtle dialogue by the way. god...this is making me simultaneously cry and squirm.

I don't know if they got the videos mixed up or what. but this is that piece of crap from the 90s. It's a Tree huger style rework by someone who appears to have never to have read the book. Arther Conan Doyles work is nothing at all like this movie. the 50year old hunter is 12?, they have to save the friendly dinos? and why is the lost world in africa? its nothing like south America.

Waste of talent and film stock, this zero action, monster flick with the same classic title, but far worse than the 1960 James Mason treat (which has 10X better state of the the art SFX half CENTURY before this dreck-fest was filmed.) and Conan Doyle estate should sue. Heck through in Jules Verne. And what did the natives want? Human sacrifice? Dino food? Universal health care? Why? Who cares? ooga booga boo! Somebody dial the NAACP emergency cliche division.Where'd the stars come from? I-NEEDA-DAYSPAY.COM? I marvel critics other rewrites actually picked apart this camel dropping to parse minor flaws in each performance. THE WHOLE THING WHIFFS!Otherwise, just fine.

This isn't 1960. I don't think the bender from Will & Grace was even born yet in 1960.
