They have tried to take the "COUNTRY out of the boy" and that is not possible. Just give Kevin a guitar and he can sing. When they add background music (loud piano, etc) he can't even think. They have ruined Kevins music. If he could go to a recording studio with just himself and his guitar he could make a top selling CD. They need to scrap all the other BS and stop telling him what to do. All the other stuff confuses him. Just let him sing from his heart and sole with his guitar and he would do fine. They have taken a good country singer and made him mediocre at best. It's a disgrace. Kevin has written many good (unpublished ) songs. He was only able to go to AGT tryouts because it was so close to where he lives. He wanted people to know how much it hurt to lose a loved one. He doesn't fit in in Hollywood or Vegas. We live simple lives here in rural Ky. We might not have fancy houses or cars but we are wealthy with family, friends
and neighbors. I hope he comes home soon because they are trying to make him something that he isn't. Why don't they let him be himself? A sincere and honest Ky country boy. I hope he comes back home soon! Ky country girl.

I dont understand what's wrong with this guy but he doesn't have nothing special besides the story of catching chickens and that he's never been out of Kentucky. that's so absurdful!!! This guy he has an OK voice but not as good as other competitors. i will never be able to listen to his performance as a ???star??? more than 10 minutes.
Those judges they just made a disaster on the show, they job is to make it interesting and watchable!!!. I loved them so much at the beginning. but now it's getting really boring and annoying since they've started putting very diversified acts. People don't like it!!!
That's why this show doesn't have ratings more than 3 stars. bullsh*t!!!!!!

Like i said in the review for Skinners' 1st performance, It can't be topped. I think on his 1st performance, with all of the stage jitters, the audience laughing @ him; humility, and the nervousness expected performing on stage all combined together with the atmosphere and the knot in his throat and how the stars were aligned that night (haha) , all those factors played a part in the sound of his voice and his facial/physical expressions. Indeed his very 1st performance was magical and an emotional and powerful moment that even still I watch it @ least once a week; it's beautiful. But the bottom line is... Skinner was lucky to have captured his performance @ that very moment "aligned with the stars" to perfect every detail of his performance. I doubt Skinner can repeat that song with the perfection he had on that 1st night. Seeing his 2nd and 3rd performances had convinced me I am correct. His performance from tonight was pretty much crap. His voice was shaky, pitch was way off .. there was really no emotion in it... It's all a hype now- If he does go on to the next round... it's only because the judges/American voters are chasing his very 1st performance. It's not going to happen again... I'm convinced he is a lower than average singer.

I said on Skinners 1st performance review, I hate country music, but I fell in love with that country song he sang. Well I'm back to totally hating country music again, and i doubt Skinner can sing another song up to everyones expectations.
