Yes it is true blacks did enslave each other during times of war when a village lost the battle but their term of slavery is extremely different from the Europeans way of enslavement. You were captured brutally raped beaten starved mentally and physically abused brain washed stripped of our language gave us a new God to worship and was treated less of a man. When we were captured in another village we were brought in like apart of the family there was no abuse it was a understanding that if a war was lost then they would have to go into servitude for a period of time and in the long run we were freed In the Europe and the Americas none of that took place we were bamboozled. Our people would have never gave us over to the slave traders if they really knew what was happening Even though our people in Africa was left behind they were still over run and tricked by whites to get at the resources Africa has. We are all still in SLAVERY just a MENTAL one and don't get it messed up Africa is in the same boat We all need to stand together and the first place to do that is in a BOOK Read about yourself know about your self and spread the WORD about your SELF!!!

I agree with the fact that some people are dead set on the idea that it is the "White Man that keeps us down" put there are some instances where this is a fact. Racism is still around although it has dwindled down with my (our) generation and some people take it to a new extreme. The fact is, no one knows how many slaves died. Moreover, I don't suspect any slaves (or anyone for that fact) would have made it without food or water for four months. Also, let us not forget, it was the black man who caught the slaves from the interior regions and sold them to the white man. No one was holding a gun to their heads. White men couldn't get into the interior regions due to disease. Quinine opened Africa to whites, but that wasn't until around 1820, long after the slave trade was in full swing. The fact is, blacks started the slave trade. This was going on for years in Africa. At the end of a battle b/t villages, the losing village would almost always be enslaved and/or sold off as slaves. The white man simply came along and became a client. Do your research.
