yes, but he can't be both (Obito grew up in Konoha/Madara was one of the founders of Konoha as I'm sure you totally know-you are obviously knowledgeable about it!)...and since the manga says he is Madara....
I mean...Madara has got to be ridiculously old by now...and Obito's age would make sense for being Tobi if he were aging like any *normal* ninja....
but...who in Akatsuki is a *normal* ninja??
Obito would most likely still have that strong sense of responsibility and team work...even though the Tobi personality is a ruse, I don't see how Obito could be Tobi, even with the simularities of the eye.
but, i think the fact that he is Madara is even more interesting. I mean...he's got all that power and his history with the nine tails and Naruto being that jinchuriki, plus i think delving more into the history of it all is very cool on it's own.
Someone here mentioned how cool it would be to see the story from 12 years ago, how it all started-i think that would be very awesome.   See 11 other replies
