either watching it with your children or packing a bowl and chill'n.
The best so far... have (The Universe) playing in the back round of a party and blast the music or do that while studying.If you may consider the fact its for the masses and get off your high horse to think of the results and benefits of the show. Maybe those same lame brain masses will consider that as humans we explore we always have. This might make some thinking we need to start focusing on the multiverse.... I mean universe.Any who.... In the end the universe is better T.V. than whats on 98% of T.V. as a whole.
Also consider before the voyager missions we didn't really know what it was REALLY LIKE in our solar system. Same goes for the universe. Also if you want more informed information read a book on the subject. Go to your local planetarium and here a lecher or two or go for the crazy light show! wwooo ahhh... HAHA...

I winced a little at the "Cosmic Frisbee Guy" also, but, if you think about it I think you might realize that the awkwardness lies in the newness of Frisbee sports and that the free-spirit which created the sport of Ultimate Frisbee is not overly concerned with names for player position. I believe if she (if it were apt) called Jupiter the "Cosmic Quarterback" you would not be so cynically critical and would show yourself to be manipulable based on your cultural prejudices.The fact is that the ultimate frisbee player metaphor, while perhaps not perfect, is very apt and probably the best. Maybe soccer would be better but like others have pointed out above, we are working towards some popular interest. We don't want to put people to sleep ;-) Yeah, I went there. I dissed on soccer. And I'd do it again. The point is to differentiate from the model of Jupiter as a vacuum cleaner. It doesn't suck in everything that comes into it's gravitational influence.   See 6 other replies

Yeah, you guys are right. I was just annoyed by how blatantly moronic some of the things they say are. I suppose I really should be grateful for the potential and possibility of these humble videos in inspiring the dribbling masses into something resembling order and eventually a higher level of intelligence.To be quite honest I don't consider anyone who actually watches these to be anything less than a competent and capable human being. However...somedays are worse than others and I can say some rather asinine things. Have u been outside lately and met some of the random people of this world? Now I'm not saying I am anywhere near as intelligent as you are. And I get that just based on the words that you used. But saying that I know that my intellect far surpasses most of the people I meet in everyday life. And while this series is dumbed down i think that's because of the majority of people in this world, especially in America. If this series fascinates even one person into a life of astronomy and physics then I think they accomplished what they wanted. You never know what a random thinker can figure out.
