"If you enjoy the simplistic, lazy plots of this show, you are part of the problem of American television."Okay, someone needs to climb off their high horse and get some perspective. Of course this show is like quantum leap, I wouldn't be surprised if the writers even considered this show to be a sort of remake of quantum leap, or in other words what quantum leap could have been. However much I may love Scott Bakula, this show is definitely a step up. Very different to be sure, but the general idea of journeying through time in an uncontrolled manner with a specific event to be set right every time is pretty much both this show and quantum leap in a nutshell, except unlike quantum leap, there's no hokey stuff with body switching and Al and all that.I think it goes without saying that this show is nothing special beyond those who acted in it, but to say this show is what's wrong with American Television is just flat out stupid. That title is reserved for American Idol and other such bilge, thank you very much... Something you may want to remember before writing such a blatantly and excessively hostile review of a show that really is quite entertaining. Not to say it doesn't have its issues, but no TV show is perfect, and I don't know about anyone else, but I for one don't watch TV for the sole purpose of criticizing it, I find that detracts from the enjoyment of the process. It's kind of hard to truly engross yourself in any show or movie if your time is spent watching how well they act or critiquing every little mistake, and while everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion, that comment really strikes me as nothing short of slander. You might at least try to keep an open mind watching things, you may surprise yourself and actually enjoy the experience.
