Amen, Wandering Soul....unlike most of the armchair commentators with their limp wristed left wing biases some of us have actually served and fought against these 'poor unfortunates' and have a far better idea about the 'real world' then some sandal wearing pot smoking pseudo intellectuals. A good deal of Gitmo criticism is aimed at the fact that there is never any proof that detainees have any connection to terrorist acts or even have dislike for the US (tho after being shipped to a overseas prison by us, won't walk away with a positive perspective). If you could catch those that organized the 9/11 attacks, fine, have your revenge, but don't misplace your anger by allowing your government to lock up anyone they claim by heresy is a danger to national security. What does it take to understand the real world? is taking the governments word that they are protecting us by torturing people having an understanding?Of course the media allowance is a farce - that was one of the reporter's points. Some of this was laughable,...if this reporter thought there was even a remote chance of having unlimited access,...boy, are you living in a fantasy word. Is it the marines who say " God And Country"?.For those nieve enough to think we should all hold hand sing lullabyes together,.....wake the fudge up. While I don't personally agree with human torture, I also keep in mind, I would do what I need to do, to protect my family and my country.Some of the naysayers should talk to the familys frome 911.Some of these detainees would kill me,my families, and my neighbors, if they had the chance. I will never let that happen. Go ahead and feel sorry for these savages, who like to urinate at, and toss caca,...at your husband, your son, your daughter,....whomever. These are NOT rational people.
