Nah! Jonas is great. I like that he's not Jackson. Thought Daniel was great, he brought a different perspective into each mission and was instrumental of course in team success as well as team dynamics. Jonas brought back the eagerness and sense of wonder to gate travel, pared with his ultra-learning ability and dig his little quirks like having to have his notebook under arm ready to read or write. I'm so like that. Plus, come on, these are dangerous missions, Daniel wasn't a slouch (assuming the airforce trained him for endurance) he looked fit in the episode where he spied on the Gouald summit, but Jonas is way more physically fit for battle. In time, we see him earn his battle stripes. On any long running series, there are always new characters, but the casting directors on SG were very good a getting great talent. Main character actors were NEVER cardboard. Took Voyager and Enterprise till episode 7 or 8 before the stiffness wore off.   See 44 other replies

She's not only an Aerospace Engineer (she did help design and build their deep space cruisers) she has an Aeronautics Rating as well. She might not wear them, but she's got Pilots Wings. Watch Continuum and see her get some stick time in a fighter.   See 34 other replies
