They had guns in that time but I have no idea why Kagome doesn't take some. I mean she steals arrows all the time saying"Let me borrow this" and leaves the town. So when she runs out of arrows someone (Kohaku for example) comes to kill her. See 5 other replies

Oh, I just saw the "pieces of flesh" thing. I guess they did that for the same reason they have blonde bimbos check out what that scary noise is down the celler, in horror movies. We all know that it would be a much smarter idea to NOT go towards the scary noise, but that wouldn't make for an interesting movie. We want bad things to happen. See 5 other replies

Kagome does seem to be like a deer in headlights a majority of the time. But I think the reason why she doesn't use many of her arrows, is because she doesn't have that many, and wants to use them at just the perfect time. There's been times she could have used those cumbersome things, but I think of her as smart for relying on people that are stronger and faster than her.I'm relieved I haven't seen someone say "why doesn't Kagome go through the well, and bring an arsenal?" in a while. I never agree with that thought. She's a 15 year old girl, with 0 means of getting such things. See 5 other replies

True, true. It does get annoying when they start explaining things instead of attacking, like the 3 minute flashback dead smack in the minute of a duel to the death... And Kagome is the way she is I think because someone always tries to protect her- and she only has a limited number of arrow in her quiver, too. It's not like she's had any break to go make more. But she isn't as experienced a fighter because there's always someone to fight for her, and that ALWAYS pisses me off that she lets other people do what she should be doing, See 5 other replies

Also Kagome should be stabbing a lot more things with her arrows and instead stands around letting really bad things happen. She seems to alternate between being bad*ss and completely useless. See 5 other replies

Why do Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, etc. always seem to be careless at critical moments? Like this episode. "Hm... these pieces of flesh seem to be about to give birth to something and there are no saimyosho around. I know, I'll not use the wind tunnel and just wait around to see what happens!" Or all the times thy've lost jewel shards because they leave them in a corpse and start talking instead of getting the shards ASAP. I know the stakes wouldn't be as high if they didn't make these foolish mistakes, but the consistent pattern of carelessness is becoming more and more annoying.
