“This country was founded on: God!” – Really, now?
I don’t think anyone can logically disagree that The Constitution of the United States (of America) is the single and official founding legal document of our country.
That said Ky, would you mind showing us exactly where in The Constitution it says “this country was founded on God?” Or in the 27 amendments found in The Bill of Rights?
For your convenience, here is a link to the official transcript:

Feel free to use your Ctrl+F function for “god.” Also try “jesus,” “christ,” “maker,” “creator,” and “lord” while you are at it.
I promise you none of those words is in the entire document, save for one exception: the dating on the signatures is “in the Year of our Lord,” which was a standard way of expressing year dates at that time.
Of interesting note is that the word “religious” appears once. In Article 6: “no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office…”
“Religion” is mentioned once in the Bill of Rights. Can you guess which amendment? Go look it up.
I don’t know, maybe it’s just me but… it seems rather odd that if god, religion, christianity, or any other system of belief was such an important issue – nay, of such importance that is was our founding principle – it didn’t make it anywhere into our country’s founding document.
So actually, after reading it all, it seems our country was founded on the principle that your personal belief in a god or lack thereof is your right and that the government should have nothing to do with it.
