The native American angle doesn't really add much flavor or interest in this static story of routine shoe (and wheel) leather investigation. Dr. McCoy shows up as a somewhat fey salesman, but is put to little use. The resolution pivots on a neat little bit of observational detective work, but that's about the only neat thing in the story. A yawner. But seeing all the Indians having powwows up in the hills did make me want to get drunk, so there's that . And it's an interesting coinkydinky that I happened to watch this tale of the white man vs. the red man on Thanksgiving Day, so maybe I'll give it an extra star just for that.
