I prefer subtitles cuz Japanese sounds fun and its original, and American translators are super gay and it sounds way so cheesy, they break the mood on everything.
I'm going to tell you more, Mexicans make translations better than Americans.
and by translations I mean voice over.

Ken IS directly modeled after Bruce Lee. It's essentially Bruce Lee roaming around a post apocalyptic Mad Max esque world, dim mak'ing anyone in his path.

...Now that I put that into words, this has to be hands down the least subtle influences I've ever seen. It's just a hair's width away from being terrible crossover fan fiction if you switch up the names here and there. It would be hilarious, but still terrible. Don't take this the wrong way, I love Fist of the North Star. Oddly enough, this is the exact opposite problem I have with films like Dragonball Evolution; it's so bad in the sense it's supposed to be Dragonball, so they might as well changed up the names for everything and make it something different entirely. I'm new to Fist of the North Star. Just finished watching episode 2. Awesome! I know that the time delayed pressure point attack is a common theme portrayed in mystic martial arts, but the death of Spade particularly reminded me of that scene at the end of Kill Bill 2 (though of course Bill handled it with a lot more dignity).

In addition, for being done in the 80's I fell that the animation is particularly good. Kind of get the feeling that Ken is directly modeled after Bruce Lee (even though I have never seen any of his films), which minorly takes away from it's origionality. See 5 other replies

You're right. Simple minds don't infer a level of accuracy. Actually, it's quite the opposite.

A simple mind is at least pointed in the proper direction. Being incorrect about this, though, is just simply an action that merits derision.

However, if the person to which I responded wasn't a fuctionally illiterate, pretentious biggot, then I would've probably spent a fraction of the time pushing keys to insult him.
