What a great show. And what a cast. Not only does this show star Jerry Van Dyke, but it also has the neighbor from the Bob Newhart show as... the neighbor. Hmm... I wonder if this guy is a good neighbor in real life or the worst neighbor because he resents that he always gets stuck in the neighbor role? What ever. More importantly though is the wife on this show. Man is she hot. The scene when Dick says that the car might get vandalized and she makes that face. HOT! And such devotion. Sure, she thinks her husband is a lunatic, but she stands by him. If you've seen this episode then you know what happens, but incase you didn't I won't rune it.
What I do want to know is what is the deal with separate beds? Was this a real thing back in the day? I know the Dick Van Dyke show had separate beds, but now that this show has it I wonder? Especially sense the wives in these two shows are such lookers. What possible reason is there for these two women to be sleeping alone? I mean, they both had kids on the show. Am I to believe that these children were born of immaculate conception? This show wants me to believe that an old woman's soul now resides in a car. Does it now want me to believe that a mother of two is as pure as freshly fallen snow? And is devoted to her husband? I know I'm from a different generation, but I can't wrap my head around this. A marriage would be over now a days if a husband, or wife, asked their other to sleep in separate bed. On top of the fact that she thinks her husband in a lunatic, which he is. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are some things I'm glad about in this day and age, but I would trade them all for more such loving and devoted women.
