This episode raised a few questions for me. One, where all government officials ignorant through-out time? Here we have a scientist showing off his invention that can shrink objects and all the governor does is make jokes about it. I can fully except that a machine was made that can shrink things. Seeing it for the first time and not being blown away is hard to except. Also, how did The Captain get into a government facility? Hell, how did he know that this machine was even being made? He just happens to be sneaking around the building on the day that it’s being shown for funding? And how does Dave pick the car up? The “Matter Condenser” does just that. The same amount of matter is there, just condensed. Shouldn’t it weight the same?
My biggest question is how did Barb get stuck with this guy? She’s a loving wife that puts up with her husband non-sense constantly. She keeps house, cooks meals, she even tries to make cute jokes in an attempt to cheer up her husband. What does she get for her troubles? A man that spends more time with his mother, the car, then he does with her. Then at the end, almost gets killed because of his crazy feud. I’ll tell you one thing, if I had her at home I wouldn’t be hanging out with my mother. Talking car or not.
