21 Jump Street: Don't Pet the Teacher

I was a criminal justice major in college and a cop came in to talk in one of my classes and she had gone undercover in a local high school for like a whole year in order to bust the students who were dealing drugs and stuff. But yeah, if they keep blowing their cover at the end of ever show it does seem like they'd run out of schools.

I want to love this show. I can't. It is so slow and inauthentic. But there are breaks of non-lameness, mostly from Depp. Such a beautiful man. Sigh.

I was too young to appreciate this show when it came out, but as I am a fan of all things cheesy and 80's/90's, I am loving this now. That teacher was such a wench! hahaha, she still continued to talk to Hanson in an inappropriate manner after she discovered he was her student. She even let him take her home. Total 80's version of Mary Kay LeTourneau! Maybe this is where she got the idea that sleeping with her students was okay.

at my old highschool, someone tried to poison one of the science teachers. put lye in her drink. luckily she knew what would counter act the lye. we had undercover cops in our school searching for who did it. and trust me, you could not tell who the undercover cop was.

I really loved 21 jump street when I was 15. I looked forward to coming home after school and watching young Johnny Depp- his posters were all over my walls lol. Anyway- now that I watch it again, I think is a rather silly show. To put an undercover cop in a high school that is experiencing vandalism seems dramatic! And then, if you think about it, how long can a police department like 21 jump street really exist... I mean, if you put the same 4-5 cops in each high school in a civic area, after a few months, all the students are probably going to know who the narcs are. Oh well- I am enjoying the nostalgia of the show.
