That kind of stuff DOES happen in high school!!! FFS, this stufft goes down in high schools all over. Maybe not yours, but it did in mine. The girls dressed like sl*ts & when I was a senior, there were freshman getting more sex than me (which was 0). When I was a senior there was 1 sophomore pregnant, 2 girls in my grade that already had kids and working on number 2+, and 2 more girls that were pregnant with their first. The year before that, there were at LEAST 2 girls pregnant. Oh, and during this time there was an 8th grader that had a child as well. This show is just teaching adults that you NEED to talk to your child about sex, safe sex, and why waiting IS the best answer.ALSO, during 16 & Pregnant, every girl but 1 kept her baby, most of them got jobs & lived on their own. Most of them realized that having sex without protection wasn't the best way to go about it. Oh, and really only 1 of them was extremely wealthy and her mother pushed the subject of keeping it.Before any judgment is placed on THIS particular show, more than 1-5 episodes needs to be watched. It's far from "glorifying" pregnancy.   See 26 other replies

I don't think that this is idolizing teen pregnancy. I'm only up to the fifth episode, but Amy's distraught and filled with regret. A lot of people go into denial when they're faced with something that they don't understand. Also, there is a dis claimer at the end. As for Ben... it is kind of ridiculous that he fell immediately in love with her. However, in the beginning his goal was Grace. Then he became infatuated with her, thenjfound out she was pregnant, then proposed. I think his reasons for doing that were a mixture of love and wanting to help her out.   See 26 other replies

"Premeditated" is a type of murder, it has nothing to do with the definition. Legality is also not part of the definition; what about honor killings that are legal? Are those not murder? The death penalty is legal in many places, but that is definitely different than murder if politicians say it is O.K. After all, those criminals are just lumps of tissue that end up in prison because of mistakes, so the justification of abortion makes their termination logical.   See 26 other replies
