OMG, dude u read my mind i thought everything u just said, i thought if they hated code geass then there was was going to be no chance in them liking gurren lagann, which i find odd because i thought there was alot more u could hate on, but overall gurran lagann is like they said, it has great characters, and a great story line. I agree with the assessment of Gurren Lagann with 5/5. However I find it strange that they give it 5/5 and Code Geass 3/5. Code Geass has plot twist after shocking plot twist, and don't tell me you saw them all coming. Some, yes of course, but you couldn't have seen them all coming. I haven't seen the entire show yet, so maybe something ruins it at the end (Like the sappy ending of "Gankutsuo: Count of Monte Cristo" being an unfortunate after taste to an exquisite visual feast and well adapted story) but it deserves at LEAST 4/5 especially considering how many mecha cliches Gurren Lagann draws from (Which I mention because you cite it as a negative in Code Geass).
