LOL@ A W!My thoughts exactly. In a situation like the date of the SuperBowl, then yes other networks may avoid airing certain shows during that time, knowing that a lot of people won't be watching them. But that's only for one 4 hour afternoon/evening. Most people I've talked to that watched Lost for more than 4 or 5 episodes but still didn't like it was because they didn't want to be patient enough to wait 6 years for answers. Having to wait 7 or 8 episodes or more just to get an answer to a smaller mystery was hard enough not to mention a 6 year wait. The idea of trying to solve a mystery lures a lot of people in, but the show is really about the character arcs first and foremost. The story is about how a character starts out being one way and thru these extraordinary circumstances they become something better. They just add smoke monsters, apparitions, and supernatural phenomenon to spice things up a little.   See 3 other replies
