I saw this last week and I loved it! Just the right amount of geekiness, sexiness, sweetness, vulgarity and perhaps a little too much hilarity, but hey, who's complaining??? It also reminded me how much I don't miss the 80s! It's exactly as you think it will be. Absurd but funny. The Shamwow joke isn't in it. The young nerd gets called a "her" several times in the movie. It has a great cameo by Billy Zabka (Karate Kid & Just One of the Guys villain). Crispin Glover has a good role- I think he even paraphrased "Get your 'blipping' hands off her" in it. John Cusack is the PERFECT fit for this movie...perfect, the moment they landed at the ski resort I was thinking 'Better off Dead' instantly, great cast, plus John Cusack actually DIRECTED the movie. We didn't have play station or Xbox all we had was Nintendo And Atari. And roller skates. And the original WWF. What a time to be a teen. Oh yea and thank you Madonna for letting the girls back then to know that it was ok to give it up.

what was this? the premise seems unbearably slim, the acting sub-par for the actors present, and they changed the facts from history. this trailer didn't make me laugh once, and instead of making me the least bit interested in it, it has made me dread the release. curse you hollywood!!!

This looks to be a wonderfully weird and funny movie. Setting it in the 80's is going to be funny as hell!
