Enjoyed this movie form the very start. The main character wasn't dim-witted; he was just a man of action rather than words. The slow pace and minimal use of dialogue was realistic. It makes viewers slow down so that they can interpret by being sensitive to clues in what they see or hear. Viewers have to slow down to the slow pace of reality.
Every actor was under control of the director, so that the entire movie had a methodical pace and a style.
This movie requires viewers to appreciate the slowness of real life, and to have sensitivity to real communication, which is often not verbal or visual.
Also, the main character demonstrated that inner emotion builds to action, but inner emotion might not be expressed in obvious ways.
This is a much more engrossing movie than the mindless junk that has come out of Hollywood for the last a few decades.
