Hulu is able to offer this series on a two-week delay from Japan. The dubbed version of this series isn't available at this time, but we will continue to pursue both dubbed and subtitled versions of all anime series.
There is a lot of added cast as well. Though with marco I would say his presence wasn't really as important because his work in this story line was to tell them what was in the stone. The actual making of the stone becomes kind of side-note by the end and saving people from others making the stone becomes the focus. I actually like it a lot more and you will see more conflict with having a h. furor over their country and all the other h. influence.
I have to say, I do like the new storyline compared with the original series. However, I am still sketchy on the super bubbly/happy/cute anime cliches they keep putting in. Yes, they were present in the original series, however, not so much as in this version. The tiny panda thing? Unnecessary. I know its Japanese, and I know its part of the Anime tradition, but it really annoys me and detracts from the show in my opinion. I really hope that this is limited in the shows further episodes, but based on what I've seen, I expect more of it. I guess it just doesn't translate well for western audiences, but I suppose it wasn't written for us. At any rate, its a kickass show, and the story line is getting interesting. I'm intrigued by the differences, however, I do have one question. I thought I had watched all the previous episodes, but did I miss something with Yoki? I know from the original story that he was humiliated in Youswell by Ed and Al, but I don't remember that happening in this version. He seems to have it out for Ed, but I don't remember if they showed what happened. I guess with the omission of Lyra its quite different.
