great movie. i def wouldn't classify this as a "comedy". i felt so bad for the girls. and the poor mom. it reflected on the time era well and how women were treated after the war. loved it. i'd reccomend it to others
It was a good movie, though it had a sad story filled with emptiness, a loveless family structure, and addiction. The plot was captivating but a little weird, I thought the movie would dig a little further in the daughters characters, and explore the mother more. The ending was still empty in the sense that it didn't tell the full story.
I adore the 60's and this film did a very good job at capturing the essence of the time, really added to the whole feel of the atmosphere. Sad, but very realistic.
