This is not a review of NZ beer/drinking culture. All it featured was a brief discussion on making whisky, which also included mention of Speights beer. Advertising? And then it was off to Queenstown, a place where you're more likely to meet a Brit or a Yank than a New Zealander. Monteiths (what you were drinking in Queenstown), btw, is a fairly bland beer, mainly drunk by patriotic stuckups. Maybe next time visit the real cities such as Dunedin and Christchurch (South Island), or Wellington (Bottom of the North Island.) Wellington, btw, has more bars/pubs per head of population than any other city in the world. (I may have just made that up.)<burp>
