I will never very much agree that a person cannot change unless they are true psychopaths and/or a person whom is not able to interact with the public in a manner we are accustomed to and can be very dangerous.
This gentleman is guilty thru and thru. He talks of his guilt as if it just tends to be an unfortunate accident and people attack HIM, God Forbid! He jumps into a truck, he later admits on drugs and tries to take off with it. He says the woman beat on HIM prior.
The wife was a classic abuse case and showed every sign of a batterered wife. His cross-dressing or sexual practices got too much play but I am glad in closing, prosecution didn't even use it as a 'smear tactic'. Kudos!
I will also say it is understandable for Dick Wolf and his team to pick more winners than losers as we like to see Guilty even when we don't want it. There is something about looking into the void of people's lives and knowing how profound this incident is and so many that go on at the same time.
But the sentence far outweighs the crime. It was a sentence based on priors and brazen quality of dishonesty and disorder the man showed. I understand the numbers and their mandates with some cases and actions but this is too many years compared to rapists and murderers.
We must reform our reformations of the reprobate. 8)
Good show as usual. I liked this series.
Justice upheld in this case. Sentencing should be reformed and he will have his shots as parole I am sure. If not, then parole should be reorganized so you have a chance to be better when you have done horrible things but not taken a life.
You shouldn't take anyone's life over anything less than the loss of life and even then it can be hard to stand in front of anyone and say, "I sentence you to death". Those that do have to say, should also be present and a part of the execution. For, if you have to face this point of it and truly be involved with what you say and believe, you should be forced to live the same and carry the burden of your positions and persecutions just and unjust alike.
Just my opinion. You can call me MediaGod or what my name is on this site.
Good Care.
