First of all, none of the anime versions of Inuyasha have the more detailed nudity of the manga. Secondly, Kevin that statement is completely untrue. There are many anime shows that show nudity, including sex in the US and other areas. Your just not going to find it on normal cable channels like Cartoon Network or the SyFy channel. Premium and On-Demand type channels make that possible.
Lastly, I don't agree that animated nudity is necessarily perverted. It just depends on the context, from how it fits into the story of the show and the direction of the art and animation in said part. Disproportionate body sizes in anime is a very common element and what gives the genre a bad name when used for sexual content, for people unfamiliar with the genre stereotype the rest. Thats why it is more of a perversion to use that style for sexual content when they could rely on the same colors, but realistic sizes to create a much more realistic feeling.
For example, consider if there was a live action movie that had a sex scene which was necessary to the plot and used for legitimate, emotional reasons, like something from a romance film. Consider if the same movie, scene by scene was recreated into an animated film and used realistic body proportions, would it be considered perverted simply because it was a cartoon? If you believe it does, does that mean they should cut that part of the film, even though it means loosing a very important emotional aspect of the plot?
That's why nudity in animation - and live action media for that matter - depends on the context to determine such a thing. And that is why I would consider it perverted to have it uncensored in the bath scene, for that scene had unrealistic proportions and the idea of nudity had nothing to do with the actual plot.
