I had someone tell me of a screenplay I wrote "You have to stop directing!" I guess that's what I don't get about writing for the screen: How can you write what is going on without describing what is going on? By the time I get it done acceptably the Postal Service will be forgotten and no one will understand what is going on anyway.

Its about time that screenwriters get some kind of show or webisode on their thoughts and their craft.

I have so much more respect for Danny Boyle now. "If it says we're shooting on top of a train, we're shooting on top of a train." They didn't rewrite or cut out the scene.

Simon was lucky to have worked with such a conscientious director.
