A car chase in a kids show, personification in a decent level, evil robots. What more could a person ask for?

I loved inspector gadget when I was a kid, although I can see all the minor hiccups in the narration as an adult now! All these years and this cartoon is still entertaining to watch! Our kids are been brained washed with the junk toons they show them these days! What happened to the days of GIJOE, Transformers, Bionic Six, Voltron, EXO Squad, COPS, BATMAN and ROBIN adventures, and Superman.

they just dont make em the way they used too! I remember toons in the morning before and after school. Is there such a thing anymore?

The lack of morals/safety tips has to do with the TV rating system, EX TV-Y, TV-Y7, ect. Back befor they were created, children's cartoons had to be educational, hence the lesson at the end. That's why the DIC Sailor Moon had Sailor Says at the end. But I'm just going off Wikipedia. See 1 other reply

I love how Gadget leaves Penny in the care of the family dog. Real responsible guardianship there, Uncle.

Also, I love how Penny always says "There's not enough time!" when she's about to save the day. How about some confidence, little lady?

I think today's cartoons are really missing something. Nearly all cartoons in the 80's had morals or safety tips at the end. You just don't get that these days. I wonder why that changed. It wasn't making them any money? Who knows.
