Julie, a "Rhoda" type kookie girl , moves in to a swankie LA apartment. btw- no seems to recognize her voice when she calls, not even her mother, a running joke that never seems to pay off. The plot starts to pick up speed when all 20 residents in the high rise building gather at a tenant's meeting. All the archetypes are represents here at Terrace Towers, all except an African American couple. Nevertheless, It should be noted that this MOTW had the chutzpah to tackle the topic of homosexuality in 1977. This movie is chalk full of schmaltz, implied sex (Gay and straight), infidelity and a suicide attempt. It's an OK time capsule for the late 70's
