Barbara's O Mio Babbino Caro was magnificent and I cannot wait to hear the entire aria. The name of the show is America's Got Talent, not America's Got Untrained Talent. I have never heard a beautiful basso profundo on a talent show before and Lawrence was stunning. I can only dream of Barbara and Lawrence singing Gershwin's duet, "Bess, you is my woman now."

Sure she's a new discovery. You'd never heard of her before this, had you? Nobody ever said this show was about people who didn't already have a career in their talent; this is just their chance to really make it big.
For instance, Nuttin' But Stringz had an album out before they came on America's Got Talent (I got it) and had played at numerous venues, including Carnegie Hall and the White House. They were already well-known; know they're known world-wide. See 1 other reply

I think she will go far in this competition.
I'm not even a fan of Opera, but I listened to this over & over.
