I expected a lot less reliance on the Veritech systems. The opening for the Macross Saga where the Veritech is wrecking havoc and mayhem through excellent piloting is a tradition I come to expect from Robotech. I would like a lot more Veritech laser, one on one, battle scenes with complex maneuvers like Max and Miriam. This would have made it perfect. I liked the plot and I will continue to follow the space opera as it unfolds. I am a lifer for sure.
The space battles seemed kind of flat without this type of action. They are also too dependant on missiles.
