Science Fiction has something from the real world and something from the fictional world.If you haven't been paying attention for the last 80 years, the skin suit goes against the skin, the mobile suit(also known as the EVA) goes over and connects with the skin suit.The skin suit serves 2 perposes:
Equalize pressure over the body, and from inside the body (why doesn't a body in an eva explode).

Hi Isreal, I also agree with all your comments to the " Newbie ", I was in my late 20s or 30s when Robotech graced channel 13 and renewed my love of anime, even though the whole of the series was three completely separate series, harmony gold and the japanese studios did an excellent job of joining all three into on long trilogy, And who knows, we may see more to come.... hope to see you soon, bye.   See 21 other replies

I only gave it a three star rating, however since I totally disagree with the author of this topic on several points, and because I used to watch the first American Showing of the Original Robotech Trilogy on what was UPN 13 channel, back when it came on, I say to you, you full of hot air.The Music score was Excellent, I hope one day they release the music as an OST, It's on par with the score used on the anime, " Crest of the Stars ".The Character Animation was also excellent, As are the capitol ships, i recognize all the ships execpt the colonization ship and the icarus, but that's of little concern since we don't know what ships were built by the expeditionary force while away from earth.Now as for the cgi animation, regrettably some of the scenes made them appear like the models of the same fighters that have the ability tobe folded into or outof the fighterto battleoid and back again, however, given this is SCI-FI, liberties are allowed, so don't be so technical about how the fighter move in space or how the changed from fighter to battloid and fought in space, newbie, and enjoy the movie, Besides RZ your out voted as to those that disagree with you.   See 21 other replies
