The type of movie that Walt Disney based The Pirates of the Caribbean movie on. The dialogue (ye scurvy bilge rats!), the cannon battles, walking the plank, the auction for kidnapped lasses, its all here sanitized for general audiences. Anne is a ruthless pirate and no viewer will want her as a role model, but the film does provide room for a certain amount of redemption of the soul. The producers of the Pirates of the Caribbean should have done a little research and watched films like this to remind themselves the roots of this genre. A lot of fun in under 90 minutes.
