Just wiki Battle of Triangle Hill...sentences like "Chinese defended the Sniper Ridge" are all over the webpage. This is the bloodiest battle during the entire war, and Hollywood treated it with such kind of major historical mistakes, real professionalism.

Still not sure what you are smokin'. From 'Korean War at 50'24 The CVPA [Chinese Volunteer People's Army] resumes its efforts to gain more ground. It attacks the ROK 9th Division in the Boomerang area, but is repulsed. At Sniper Ridge, however, the CPVA captures an outpost from the division. CPVA efforts the next day to expand its gains are repulsed.

I enjoy old war movies but this one was a sleeper. The acting was deplorable mainly in the first half. There wasn't any real action.. Move along, nothing to see here.
It wasn't at the end of the war, but in the first third of it, in 1950. When US and UN forces pushed up to the Chosun, China claimed the US violated Chinese airspace and interveneed on behalf of the North Koreans. That started the push back and ultimately the cease fire at the 38th. I had the dubious experience of seeing a Chinese MiG-15 that was used in that conflict. The Chinese under Mao saw Korea as their backyard, and they wanted it communist, so they backed their red buddies.

I said "at Sniper Ridge", not the whole war. Just google the history about this battle. Yes this is the forgotten war, the films and history studies on this war are full of mistakes.
