I like Kevin Skinner, there's something about his singing that just seems real. It seems like he's singing songs like he's lived em and that's what great singers do. They sing a song and make you feel like they've been in that situation. I mean, Johnny Cash never shot a man in Reno to watch him die, but the perception and the way he sang the song made it SEEM like he did and that's kind of like Kevin Skinner. BUT, the problem is that we've only hear him sing slow ballads. If he rocks it out, it might not be as effective. Can he sing a rockin country song, or a song that's not a ballady kind of song. Something out of his element? Hopefully he did it in the finale and he did a dang good job of it too. He also seems genuine, like what you see is what you get. You've seen some of these people whose public image is different from their behind the scenes image? He seems like the public view is the only view out there and I like that.Daniel   See 25 other replies
