Some Santas are naughty, not nice.
The way people can be driven "crazier" by overmedication, and by the dehumanization of state mental institutions that ignore patients' insights, is a crying shame. Not being believed by anybody when you know the truth about something, as in this script, has to be one of the worst feelings in the world.
It's amazing that Monk is able to stand on a roof at this point in the series, whereas in later seasons, he can't even stand on a stepladder. Do his phobias actually get worse later?
Suspenseful, frustrating and a little frightening, yet funny. The straight-faced lines at the end of this mystery are hilarious.
