Every time I watch an anime I check to see if a lone black person will be dropped in the mix. And there he is talking to Hughes. Heh.

I haven't read the manga, but I saw the first series and though I was sad to see him die, I was able to keep it together. That is, until Elicia starts asking her mom why they're burying daddy. That's the part where I lost it. I thought I would be able to control myself this time around, knowing it was gonna happen, but as soon as she starts talking during the funeral... I need a tissue. I knew it was coming (I watched the first series and read the manga), and I still cried when it happened in this one. Thought, at least I didn't cry as strongly. Since I'd already been through it twice, and since they skimmed through the beginning, it wasn't as strong this time.
