Let's get a few things straight. First off, this was after the first movie. The first movie was 2002, this show went on the air 2003. Imdb is not hard to use people. Second, since this was an mtv show it's easy to assume they were shooting for stupid people in the 15-23 range. This is too stupid even for that group. Third, saying this was one if mtv's better shows is like saying if you had to have an std you'd want crabs.
There is no excuse for how bad this show is. Throw out the animation and what series of the comics it's trying to follow, it's still terrible. The script, the voice acting, the humor, it's all just awful. Too many things are left to assumption, some are explained in far further detail than needed, the list goes on. It's just plain bad tv, end of story.
