holy crap, this looks like a awsum slasher movie, i like the original, but i hope they make the remake even......"BETTER'.

There is a reason why hollywood does not make many r rated horrow movies, they make far less money, pg -13 means young teens don't need a guardian to go see the movie.

it sucks but seruiously it's a buisness and they have a bottom line they need to meet

I must say that a movie like this shouldn't be pg-13, have some balls an make it rated R for Pete's sake, maybe if Eden was in this to spice it up it would do well =p

I don't think they should have remade this movie. Terry O'Quinn's stepfather was much better, much more subtle and better nuanced. I don't know why they feel they have to remake good movies. Leave well enough alone.

Terry O'Quinn gave a classic performance in the original. Looks like this one is more about the teen age son. Why is everything so youth oriented now? Teens won't go to a thriller unless another teen is on the screen the majority of the time. See the original on DVD. Makes you appreciate his work on LOST, in particular the scene where Ben walks in on him about to commit suicide. Terry O'Quinn deserves an Emmy this year (another review, sorry)

everyone who wants to see this, needs to go rent the original with the crazy guy from lost.
i am so sick of remakes. i just heard they are remaking footloose. FOOTLOOSE for god's sake. what next...Remake of billy madison, or god forbid,...Pretty Woman
Just because it worked the first time, does NOT mean we want to see it again and again with different more younger casts.
everyone, stop watching these remakes. lets send a message to the producers that we do not want anymore, and maybe hire some people who have an imagination, and stop living thru others ideas.

Would people not go to see it if there was any actual mystery involved? The premise sounds cool: new guy comes into the house, settles in, seems normal, but then the rumor comes up that he's a killer. The son seems convinced, but nobody else is as sure. Now that "is he or isn't he" kind of mystery sounds highly compelling to me, but this trailer makes it seem like that mystery is solved and it quickly turns into a standard psycho-slasher that seems to come out every other month. That's wasted potential in my book.
